Education

Research & Teaching Philosophy

My research focuses on human-centered AI, medical image analysis, biomechanics, and engineering education. I aim to develop accessible, data-driven technologies that bridge theory and application. My teaching philosophy emphasizes student-centered learning, active engagement, and real-world application. I use the flipped classroom model to shift lectures outside class and devote in-person time to discussions, problem-solving, and collaborative activities. This approach has improved student understanding, confidence, and retention. I connect theory to practice through example-driven lectures and draw from my interdisciplinary research to enrich course content. I value teamwork and diversity, encouraging students to learn from peers with different backgrounds and perspectives..
